SUMMARY:Community Dialogue and Cultural Engagement with the Kohar Jati
DESCRIPTION:ECPC organized a community engagement event with members of the Kohar Jati to better understand their cultural identity\, daily life\, and current challenges. The event focused on open dialogue with elders\, youth\, and women from the community\, creating space for sharing experiences\, traditions\, and concerns related to education\, livelihoods\, and cultural continuity. \n\n\n\nRather than a formal program\, the interaction emphasized listening and mutual respect. Elders shared stories of traditional practices and values\, while younger participants discussed changing realities and aspirations for the future. Women highlighted their role in maintaining cultural knowledge within households and their interest in improved education and livelihood opportunities. \n\n\n\nThis engagement helped strengthen trust and understanding between ECPC and the community\, reinforcing the importance of community-led approaches that respect cultural identity while supporting inclusive development.
