Empowering Communities Through Education, Culture, and Opportunity
Across Nepal, many children and communities are left behind because their language, culture, or economic reality is not recognized. At ECPC, we work alongside communities to strengthen education in mother tongues, protect cultural heritage, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Who We Are and Why We Exist
Education and Culture Promotion Center (ECPC) is a non-profit organization established in 2071 B.S. in Nepal. Our work begins at the community level, where language, culture, and daily livelihoods shape people’s lives. We believe that education in one’s mother tongue builds confidence, strengthens identity, and creates a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
By working closely with communities, schools, local governments, and partners, we support inclusive education, cultural preservation, and sustainable development that responds to real local needs.

What We Do

Mother Tongue–Based Multilingual Education
Children learn best when they understand the language used in the classroom. We support the development of learning materials, teacher training, and classroom practices that use children’s mother tongues, especially in early grades.

Preserving Languages and Cultural Heritage
Many indigenous languages and traditions are at risk of disappearing. We work with elders, youth, and researchers to document oral histories, folklore, and cultural practices, ensuring they are passed on to future generations.

Sustainable Livelihoods and Agro-Based Initiatives
Education alone is not enough when families struggle to meet daily needs. We support skill development, agro-based enterprises, and income-generating activities that help communities improve their living standards sustainably.
Working Together for Lasting Change
Our approach connects education, culture, and livelihoods because these issues cannot be separated in real life. By listening to communities and working together, we help create solutions that are practical, respectful, and sustainable over the long term.

Working With Communities and Partners
We believe collaboration leads to stronger and more sustainable impact. ECPC works closely with community groups, schools, local governments, academic institutions, and development partners to share knowledge, mobilize resources, and scale successful initiatives.
